Providers
Coral M. Rodriguez MS, CCC-SLP is a Bilingual Speech and Language Pathologist licensed in the states of Florida, South Carolina and Puerto Rico, meaning we can reach many more families at their homes or schools! With more than 10 years of experience in the field, we meet in one-to-one online and in-person with patients targeting communication skills including but not limited to: expressive and receptive language, articulation, fluency, phonology, literacy, and social pragmatics.
We strongly believe that “Communication is the key to success” and it is achieved by working with every child’s strengths and abilities together with family members in their natural environment.
What is
Tele-therapy?
ASHA describes it as "the application of telecommunications technology to the delivery of speech language pathology and audiology professional services at a distance by linking clinician to client or clinician to clinician for assessment, intervention, and/or consultation."
What happens during Teletherapy sessions
Teletherapy sessions are FACE-TO-FACE, the only difference is the clinician and child are looking at each other through a screen. The services are still individualized, customized for each child's needs, and secure through our specialized HIPAA compliant platform. Each session is planned and prepared targeting the child's goals and objectives established in the plan of care created by the Speech and Language Pathologist.
Parents are expected to form part of the session since coaching and guidance are part of the treatment. This way parents and/or caregivers can learn strategies to use with the child during daily life routine and activities at home. Tools necessary will be offered to the parents so you can continue helping your child in their natural environment.
Therapist will use play-based activities, virtual games/platforms, videos, and hand-on activities depending on each child's necessities and attention.
